The Bell Family

The Bell Family

A beautiful overcast Fall day greeted us when we arrived at Queenswood Stables for a family & equine photoshoot with the Bell family. Their young horse, Doctor Love (aka Doc) was charming and his coat paired perfectly with the colourful foliage. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Melina, Durango, Tinkerbell

Melina, Durengo, and Tinkerbell

Two years after our first photo session together, Melina’s birthday wish this year was to do another shoot with me of her and her two horses: Durengo (now three years old) and Tinkerbell. It was a perfect fall day with some great locations on the farm. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Mackey | Agility Shoot

I was happy to witness and photograph Mackey’s first agility trial. The almost two-year-old Australian Shepherd did a great job and stayed very focused on his handler and owner, Michelle Fitzpatrick. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Fitzpatrick Family

Another family photo session for the Fitzpatrick Family! We utilized the beautiful trails on their property for this shoot, capturing a combination of individual and family group shots as well as portraits of their dogs, Vixen and Mackey. The light was really unique in the forest and inspired a painterly style for the post editing. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Josey Family

The fall colours at Iron Wood Farm are simply stunning. Erin and her brother wanted to surprise their mother with a family photoshoot, so that is what we did! It was a beautiful day for a fall shoot. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Marion & Sir Matteo

With the beautiful fall foliage coming to life at Queenswood Stables, Marion had us out for a photoshoot with her beautiful horse and two dogs. The colours were perfect on the day and Matteo was one of the best horses I have ever shot for “ear cooperation”! Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Laura Cranstone | Agility Shoot

We met up with two lovely ladies and their beautiful Huskies for an Agility Photoshoot session. Each dog is featured going through an agility course. This session exhibited a close-up and personal experience for photographer and canine alike. As a private session versus a sanctioned trial event, this shoot allowed for us to capture better and more unique angles than would be possible from the fence line. Kluane & Pente

Spring is coming! With winter on its last legs, we met up with two beautiful huskies named Kluane and Pente for a photoshoot. These dogs spend the winter months sledding with a team of other huskies, so that was the theme of the shoot! Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Fitzpatrick Family

With Christmas fast approaching, the Fitzpatrick Family contacted us to arrange a Family Portrait shoot. They wanted photos to use in the design of a Christmas Card that they could send to friends and family. Six Australian Shepherds, two kids, two adults, and two horses! Along with the group photos, we took portraits of the dogs individually and in pairs. A cute pyramid of hay bales backed by a beautiful forest made for the perfect setup. mackey

Mackey

An impromptu photoshoot with this adorable Australian Shepherd puppy, Mackey. The forest blanketed with the beautiful leaves was the perfect backdrop for some casual, candid, and playful portraits. The photos from this shoot are being used in a custom Wall Calendar that is available in our Shop. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Brandon and Calais

Brandon & Calais

Capturing the bond between a horse and his rider is what I strive to achieve with every shoot, and it was never more important as when I shot Brandon and his black, 18hh warmblood gelding, Calais. During the shoot I work to capture the shot as well as capture the attention of the ears – Calais made the job easy. From the start he was calm, curious, and ever attentive. Roberts Byng Morris

Roberta Byng Morris & System Fencing

Roberta from Erin Stone Farm contacted us with a dual-purpose photoshoot in mind. With the completion of the farm renovations, System Fencing had requested photos that showcased their products, to be used for advertising and marketing. Roberta also wanted photos of her and her horse Solo Hit Song, as well as her imported yearling colt, Bodhi. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Melina and Durengo

Melina & Durengo

Melina wished to have a photoshoot with her imported yearling colt, Durengo. For such a young pair, both were naturals in front of the camera and the chemistry between the two was as adorable as it was promising. What a team they will be! Durengo was the perfect gentleman and stood calmly throughout every pose. His sweet attentiveness to his owner was matched only by the softness of his eye. Coeur de Wilhelm

Coeur de Wilhelm

Caballo Farm requested a full sales package to aid in the advertising of their horse “Coeur de Wilhelm”. This session included photos under saddle, hacking around the farm, standing quietly in a trailer and on the crossties, as well as portraits and conformation shots. It was a beautiful fall day and the leaves were at their best, complimenting beautifully with Wilhelm’s chestnut coat. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Dunse Family

The Dunse Family

A family portrait session that featured not only the two-legged members, but the four-legged ones too! Coordinating two young children, a dog, and a horse is no easy task – thankfully all were very cooperative and attentive, dog and horse ears alike. It was a fun day for a fall photoshoot – the leaves were beautiful and created a gorgeous backdrop for the family portraits. Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

vixen

Vixen

Vixen is a beautiful Australian Shepherd dog owned by Maplewood Dog Retreat. Over the years I have photographed all of Maplewood’s Aussie team, and as Vixen was the latest addition – she just had to have a photoshoot as well! Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Fletcher

Fletcher

A casual, fun photoshoot of Fletcher, the Golden Retriever puppy. He was a joy to photograph and seemed to love every minute of it. Puppies grow fast, so it was great to capture him at this cute stage, before he hit the awkward teen years! Click the photo to view proofs from this session.

Ron King and Rex

Ron King, Erica Dobson, and Rex

A beautiful fall day for a photoshoot with Ron King, Erica Dobson, and Rex at Dewmont Farms. Rex was a very animated and expressive subject, dazzling the camera with his noble air and big personality. Candid and casual portraits were taken of both Ron and Erica with Rex, as well as all together. Click on the photo to view proofs from this session.

Drago and Dollar

Drago & Dollar

A portrait session for two lovely horses – Drago and Dollar – owned by Kris Sherry and her husband Rob. After some convincing, the humans joined their equine family members for a few portraits as well! Dollar’s beautiful paint coat went perfectly with the fall leaves, and Drago’s expressive head was captivating on camera. Click on the photo to view proofs from this session.

Ally and Freelance

Ally & Freelance

Ally and her handsome horse, Freelance (also known as “Lance”), were a joy to shoot. Coming from a modelling background, Ally was a natural in front of the camera — posing completely without direction while still looking natural. It was another beautiful fall day for a shoot at Dewmont Farms. Click on the photo to view proofs from this session.

Fen & Kaida

Fen & Kaida

A low-key themed portrait session was done of Fen & Kaida, a brother and sister from Quebec. Both have had previous modelling and acting experience, and so were a joy to shoot. They knew how to command the attention of the camera and showcased various aspects of their personalities in each shot. Click on the photo to view proofs from this session.

Renee & Marley

Renee & Marley

Children grow up so fast, that is why Renee contacted me with the idea of a photoshoot of her and her daughter, Marley. They were adorable together. Marley was totally comfortable in the studio from the get-go. Dressed in matching blush blouses, the pair made for some very cute and memorable photos. Annie and Anna

Annie & Family

The holiday season was fast approaching, and Annie had the idea of a family photoshoot so as to have a Christmas Card photo to send to friends and family. Featuring not only Annie and her partner, Anna, the shoot also included their four-legged family members, Perine and George. It was most likely to be George’s last Christmas that year, so the shoot held even more meaning for the couple. Click on the photo to view proofs from this session.
